What's new in the Tesons chat widget
This service runs version 1.27.0.
Changes you and your visitors will notice, newest first. Versions follow semantic versioning: a major version (2.0.0) may need a change to your embed code and is announced first, a minor version (1.1.0) adds something, a patch (1.0.1) fixes something. The page https://assistant.tesons.dev/changelog always shows the version that is live.
Version 1.27.0 2026-11-02
Added
- The Detoks vodič demo page follows your course. Set the day you start at the top of the page (it stays set until you choose "Promeni početak" and confirm). The ring then shows where you are: the days done, today marked with a hand, "5/21" in the middle (or how many days until you start), and a click on it opens today's menu. Today's day is marked "Danas", and "Šta jedem danas?" asks the guide for your day by number. The start date stays only in your browser.
- Each of the 21 days has a calendar icon (top right; on an open day with its date) that opens Google Calendar with that day from 7:00 to 21:00: the whole menu in its notes (what to soak, each meal with its ingredients, both options where lunch has two) and a link back to the day on the page.
- Day 12 says that the dry fast starts at 19:00 and lasts until 11:00 on day 14.
Version 1.26.4 2026-11-02
Changed
- The Detoks vodič demo page: the day 8 puree soup lists ¼ bunch of parsley and ¼ bunch of dill.
Version 1.26.3 2026-11-02
Changed
- The chat opened as its own page (the /embed address) has no close button any more: there is nothing around it to close. On a website and in the app the button is still there.
Version 1.26.2 2026-11-02
Changed
- The Detoks vodič demo page: lunch on days 8, 11 and 21 shows its two dishes as Option 1 and Option 2, each with its ingredients and a link to how it is made.
Fixed
- The Detoks vodič demo page: the day 5 evening juice is apple, beet and 20 g of ginger, as the course writes it.
Version 1.26.1 2026-10-24
Changed
- The Detoks vodič demo page shows the full menu of each of the 21 days, the recipes and the course's notes, folded so the page stays short, instead of a button per item that asked the guide. Buttons at the top and bottom still ask the guide for today's menu or a shopping list.
Version 1.26.0 2026-10-24
Added
- Russian as a page language: an assistant whose site owner adds Russian texts shows the whole page in Russian (also chosen by itself when the browser is set to Russian), and the assistant answers in Russian. Detoks vodič is the first.
- A button on a site's own page can open the chat with a question already asked:
data-mcpw-ask="…"on any element (a demo page's "ask the guide" buttons, a product page's "ask about this model"). - The Detoks vodič demo page is a tour of the course: how it runs, the daily rhythm, the 21 days at a glance, what to soak ahead, the recipes, the dry fast safety note and the words of the translation, in Serbian Latin and Cyrillic, with buttons that ask the guide. It has a picture for link previews.
Version 1.25.0 2026-10-24
Added
- Detoks vodič: a free public assistant that guides through a 21-day raw plant-food course: the menu for each day (also for today, from the day the visitor started), recipes, a shopping list with what to soak ahead, the course's own swaps, and safety notes before the day 13 dry fast. In Serbian (Latin and Cyrillic) and English.
Fixed
- A question in Serbian with the word "dan" (day), such as "13. dan je…" or "koji dan…", got the "I can only help with this topic" reply without reaching the assistant: the check for the "DAN" jailbreak took it for one.
Version 1.24.0 2026-10-21
Added
- An app that runs an assistant through the Android SDK can hand it what it knows about the person's situation: a measurement, an order, the screen they came from. The assistant answers with it in hand for the whole conversation, as with any tool result. Only for assistants whose site owner switched it on (
appContext: true). - The ChargeProbe helper: the assistant inside the ChargeProbe app (a charger, cable and battery tester) reads the app's measurement and explains what limits charging, which cable or charger would help, and how the battery is doing, from the charging facts of its own MCP tenant.
Version 1.23.0 2026-10-18
Changed
- A new answer is easier to follow: the question it answers moves to the top of the chat and the answer opens under it, its text first, then its card, then Copy, instead of a jump to the end of a long answer. With "reduce motion" switched on in the system, the answer appears at once as before.
Version 1.22.0 2026-10-18
Added
- An assistant can show a row of cards under its answer: a picture, a name, one line, and a button. On tesons.dev, "Which demo assistants can I try?" shows ZZPL vodič and the IPS QR assistant this way: "Try it" opens that assistant in the same chat window, ← brings you back, and ↗ opens it in a new tab.
Version 1.21.0 2026-10-18
Changed
- If the widget version your assistant is kept on leaves the supported range (older than 6 months and not among the last 3 minor versions), your visitors get the nearest newer version, not the newest. You will be told 30 days before.
Version 1.20.0 2026-10-18
Added
- Your assistant can stay on the widget version you have and move to a new one when you decide: tell us the version, and new releases reach your site only when you ask. To try a new version first, add
#mcpw-preview=and the version to your page's address (for example#mcpw-preview=1.20.0): only your browser tab shows it. Assistants without a chosen version get every release as before.
Version 1.19.0 2026-10-18
Added
- In the large size the chat list can be made wider or narrower: drag its edge (200 to 420 px), or focus the edge and use the arrow keys; a double-click or Enter brings back the usual width. Your browser remembers the width for each assistant.
Version 1.18.0 2026-10-18
Added
- The chat list shows the questions you asked in a conversation, numbered under its name: a click takes you straight to that question, and while you scroll the question on screen is marked. One conversation is unfolded at a time (the open one); ▸ shows another's questions. Quiz and guide answers are left out, a picture is shown with 📷.
Changed
- The chat list in the large size is wider (260 px), so chat names and questions are easier to read.
Version 1.17.0 2026-10-18
Changed
- The example questions are behind a labelled button above the input, "💡 Example questions" with the number of questions, in both sizes; it opens them over the conversation (in the large size all groups side by side). The chat list on the left now holds only your conversations, so the two are no longer mixed up. On a first visit the button pulses twice.
- Deleting a conversation asks in its row, in red and with its name: "Delete "…"?" with Delete and Cancel. After Delete, "Chat deleted · Undo" stands in its place for 6 seconds, counting down.
- A bigger send button with an arrow, active only when there is something to send. The text field gains a line each time your text no longer fits (up to 8 lines) and goes back to one line after sending; on phones its text is large enough that the page no longer zooms in when you tap it.
Version 1.16.0 2026-10-17
Added
- On the NBS IPS QR assistant, a camera button sends a photo or screenshot of a QR code: the assistant reads the code, says what it pays and whether NBS accepts it, and shows the corrected code when something is wrong. The picture is made smaller on your device first, is read by the NBS service and is not kept, neither by us nor in your browser.
Version 1.15.0 2026-10-17
Added
- A new free assistant, the NBS IPS QR assistant (
/t/ips/embed, in Serbian Latin, Cyrillic and English): it makes the NBS IPS QR code for a bill (invoice, rent, membership) from what you tell it, has the public NBS validator confirm it, checks an existing code's text and explains what is wrong, finds the payment code and answers questions about IPS payments from the National Bank of Serbia's pages. Independent, by Tesons, not a tool of the National Bank of Serbia. - A QR code a site's assistant makes (the new NBS IPS QR assistant's code for a bill) appears under the answer as a card: the code, what it pays (payee, account, amount, payment code, purpose, reference), a button to download it as a PNG and one to copy its text. The card stays in the chat history and in the downloaded transcript, and says so when the image cannot be loaded. It reads well in light and dark mode and on a phone.
Version 1.14.3 2026-10-15
Security
- The endpoint our own deploy pipeline uses to refresh a site's content now checks its token in constant time, so the token cannot be guessed from response times.
Version 1.14.2 2026-10-15
Fixed
- On a page in English, an answer could be built from the site's Serbian data when the assistant forgot to ask for English. A site's tools that take a language now get the page's language whenever the assistant leaves it out; Kawai Srbija's English pages answer from the English catalogue.
Version 1.14.1 2026-10-14
Fixed
- The line that shows what the assistant is looking up ("✓ …") was in English on every site. A site can now name its tools in each of its languages; Kawai Srbija does, in Serbian Latin and Cyrillic ("Detalji modela", "Детаљи модела").
Version 1.14.0 2026-10-14
Added
- "Help me choose", first on Kawai Srbija: when a visitor asks for buying advice, or taps "Pomozi mi da izaberem", the assistant asks three short questions (budget; space and quiet practice; level and the feel of an acoustic action) with answers to tap instead of type, then shows a short list of models with why each one fits, the price and a link, and suggests trying them in the showroom. The card shows how far along the visitor is, and they can stop at any time.
Changed
- Kawai Srbija answers from the site's own catalogue (models, prices, sizes, Serbian manuals, showroom hours), the same data the pages show, and no longer calls itself a demo. It can be embedded on kawai.rs.
Version 1.13.2 2026-10-06
Changed
- The Kawai Srbija demo page (
/t/kawai/demo) is a full landing page: a hero, category tiles, the whole catalogue with search, filters and price sort, a Shigeru Kawai section and the showroom. Every "Pitajte savetnika" button opens the chat. Its link preview image shows the new page.
Version 1.13.1 2026-10-06
Maintenance
- No changes you will notice.
Version 1.13.0 2026-10-06
Added
- A new demo assistant, Kawai Srbija (
/t/kawai/embed, demo page/t/kawai/demo): a piano advisor over the kawai.rs catalogue in Serbian (Latin and Cyrillic) and English. It finds pianos by type, price and size, compares models, gives a short list of buying suggestions after a few questions, and points to the showroom, manuals and updates.
Fixed
- When the fact check trimmed an answer, every assistant ended it with a sentence meant for one personal assistant ("ask me about his experience"). The closing sentence is now neutral.
- An error message in a language the assistant does not offer falls back to English instead of German.
Version 1.12.1 2026-10-05
Fixed
- A link the assistant wrote with its address as its own label showed as two identical link pills. It is one pill now, and the same address repeated back to back is shown once.
Version 1.12.0 2026-10-05
Changed
- Topics: a question you already asked in this chat shows greyed with a check, so you see what is left; it can still be asked again. On a first visit only the first group is open, until you fold or unfold one yourself.
Version 1.11.0 2026-10-05
Added
- Topics: groups of ready-made questions that stay for the whole conversation. In the large size they sit under the chat list; in the compact size and on a phone the 💡 button opens them as a sheet over the conversation, and the chats button, now "Chats and questions", shows them too. Each group can be folded and stays as you left it; a tap asks the question. Marko's assistant lists all its questions there in four groups, with two new ones on his CI work at OBP-API, and keeps four chips above the input.
Version 1.10.1 2026-10-01
Maintenance
- No changes you will notice.
Version 1.10.0 2026-10-01
Changed
- The ZZPL assistant checks every answer against the law and the Commissioner's opinions it found before you see it, and leaves out anything they do not say. It can now also answer with the Commissioner's view on everyday cases (cameras, GPS, ID card copies, residential buildings, schools), cited with the year and a link to the page.
Version 1.9.0 2026-10-01
Added
- A new free assistant, ZZPL vodič (
/t/zzpl/embed): ask about Serbia's Law on Personal Data Protection and get the answer from the text of the law, with the article cited and a link to the source. Serbian (Latin and Cyrillic) and English. Independent, not legal advice.
Version 1.8.0 2026-09-29
Added
- A new demo assistant, Globos kontakt (
/t/globos/embed): tell it what you need (report a claim, buy a policy) and where you are, and it gives the right department's email and phone and the nearest office with a navigation link. Serbian (Latin and Cyrillic) and English.
Fixed
- A phone number in an answer must now come from the site's own data, as links and e-mail addresses already had to. An assistant that makes one up is asked to answer again; if it still does, the number is removed.
Version 1.7.1 2026-09-22
Fixed
- When the AI hangs, the answer now comes from the next model after about 12 seconds, instead of up to a minute and a half: a model that does not answer is no longer asked twice, and it is skipped for a minute afterwards.
- An answer that came out written as program code (
text = "…",print(text)) is now asked for again as normal text, and shown as text if it happens twice.
Version 1.7.0 2026-09-17
Added
- Each assistant can use its own Gemini key, from its own Google project: usage is counted per assistant, and one busy assistant can no longer use up another one's AI quota.
Changed
- When the AI's per-minute limit is reached, an answer comes from the next model at once instead of waiting and asking the limited model again.
Version 1.6.2 2026-09-16
Fixed
- The quiz debrief at the end was almost never shown: its fact check rejected sentences written to the visitor, or took too long. It is now checked sentence by sentence, only wrong sentences are removed, and a slow AI is given up on sooner. The debrief is shorter (up to three sentences) and no longer mixes up what the visitor got right and wrong.
- When there is no debrief, the chat now says the score ("You got 7 of 10. Thanks for playing!") instead of the "Writing your debrief" line simply disappearing.
Version 1.6.1 2026-09-16
Changed
- Every assistant answers with Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite ("via Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite" under an answer), and with Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite when that one is unavailable. Gemini Flash is no longer used: under load it answered slowly or not at all. Answers with a lookup came in 2 to 4 seconds in our checks.
- Follow-up answers that are fact-checked before they are shown arrive faster: the check runs on Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite (about a second) instead of Gemini Flash, which took up to half a minute or failed under load, and a check that takes longer than 8 seconds moves on to the next model.
Version 1.6.0 2026-09-16
Changed
- Quizzes answer at once: a tap is checked without waiting for the AI and shows "Correct!" or "Wrong" with the right answer, then the next question. The explanations come together at the end, in a short debrief written for the visitor from their answers and the conversation before the quiz. When the debrief cannot be written (limits, the AI unavailable), the score card is the ending. Stopping after at least three answers gets a debrief too.
- A quiz uses one or two of the visitor's questions instead of eleven: the debrief, and the start when the quiz was asked for in words instead of with the suggestion.
- The quiz suggestion starts the quiz right away, without waiting for the AI.
Version 1.5.0 2026-09-16
Changed
- A quiz question now sits in its own card with the choices; the answer bubble keeps only the reaction to the previous answer. The transcript lists each question with its choices.
Version 1.4.1 2026-09-16
Fixed
- This page showed its introduction twice.
Version 1.4.0 2026-09-15
Added
- Links of the form
https://assistant.tesons.dev/t/<site>/appopen directly in the Tesons Assistant app on Android when it is installed (Android App Links).
Version 1.3.0 2026-09-15
Added
- Apps. The assistant can run inside a mobile app (the Tesons Assistant app for Android is being built on it): an app lists the assistants that allow it and opens any of them, including ones created after the app was built. Your site decides which apps may show your assistant, the way it decides which websites may embed it.
Version 1.2.0 2026-09-15
Changed
- Quizzes: the answer buttons sit under the question (in the large size in two columns), with "Question 3 of 10" and a progress line; after an answer the card shows ✓ or ✗ on your pick, the right answer when you were wrong, and the score so far; the last answer ends with your result and "Play again". A "Stop the quiz" link is always there.
- The "looking up…" lines name what the assistant is doing in plain words (for example "Start the quiz") instead of the tool's technical name.
Fixed
- Since 1.1.0 the answer buttons of a quiz appeared beside the question instead of under it.
Version 1.1.2 2026-09-15
Maintenance
- No changes you will notice.
Version 1.1.1 2026-09-15
Fixed
- Asked which version it is, the assistant answered with the version of the tools service instead of its own. It now knows its own version and names both, each with a link to its release notes.
Version 1.1.0 2026-09-15
Added
- Recent chats in a sidebar. In the large size the list of a visitor's chats sits beside the conversation (it can be hidden, and the choice is remembered); in the compact size and on phones a chats button opens it as a drawer. New chat, rename and delete moved from the ⋯ menu into the list. Chats are still kept in the visitor's browser only.
Version 1.0.1 2026-09-15
Maintenance
- The server reports which commit's content it holds, for the team's dashboard. Nothing changes for visitors.
Version 1.0.0 2026-09-13
The first numbered release: the widget as it runs today.
What the widget does
- Answers your visitors from your own content. Links and contact details come only from your data, and a second check removes sentences your content does not support. When it has no answer, it says so and points to your contact channel.
- One script line on your site adds a chat bubble; there is also a standalone chat page.
- Replies in the visitor's language. Greetings, suggested questions and the interface are set per site.
- Copy an answer, download the conversation, open a larger view, and keep several named chats.
- Your assistant's wording, greetings and suggestions go live without waiting for a software update.
Accessibility
- Every site's chat passes our automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks, in light and dark mode and on phones.
- With the keyboard: Enter on the chat bubble opens the chat and puts the cursor in the message box, and Esc closes it and returns to the bubble. Screen readers hear whether the chat is open or closed.
- The chat tells screen readers which language it is in, following the language picker, so answers are read with the right pronunciation.
- The language picker is readable on every site's colour, and a site colour too light for white text is not accepted.
Reliability
- Updates to the chat service cause no downtime, and an answer being written when an update starts is finished.
- Known limitation: after an update the assistant no longer remembers conversations started before it, although the chat still shows them. Keeping conversations across updates is planned.
